Welcome back! By RSVP for this Mass, you agree to not attend if you are feeling ill or have Covid-19 symptoms and that you will notify us if you become ill with Covid-19 after attending a Mass. Please know that an RSVP does not guarantee you a place at Mass. Entrance will be a maximum of 100 due to state and Diocese ordinances and the possible need for contact tracing. Mass registration will not be used for other purposes.

Please RSVP for each individual attending Mass, including family members.

Details about attending in person: When participating in-person at St. Joseph’s Church, please keep 6’ from anyone not in your family. If you need to sneeze or cough, please do so into a tissue or your elbow. Face masks are required at all times, except for briefly when they are dropped when receiving communion. Please immediately place your face mask back in place upon receiving communion. Wearing a face mask means that both your mouth and nose are covered at all times. Anyone not wearing their mask correctly will be asked to comply or invited to attend an outdoor Mass. You are requested to use hand sanitizer upon entrance. Please note that no worship aids are in the church, and during this initial phase, no singing is to be done inside the church. Instrumental music will be played.. At the sign of peace, please simply nod to your neighbor. The communion cup will not be used at this time and it is recommended, but not required, that communion is received in the hand.

All indoor Masses use this easy online reservation system via the STJMOD App, Website and Facebook. Outdoor Masses are not required to reserve. If you know someone who is unable to use a computer for this, please call the parish office for assistance at (209-551-4973). In the event that Public Health wanted us to notify anyone who RSVP'd for a certain Mass regarding a possible exposure to Covid-19, we would use the RSVP for that. Vigil/Sunday Mass RSVP’s for each week will be available beginning at 12 Noon on Tuesday of each week. Outdoor Masses do not have a limit, but attendees are required to remain in their cars or social distance near their cars. Personal chairs can be used next to cars. Attendees are required to wear masks when standing in line and remain 6' away from anyone not in their family.

Please follow directional signage for distancing and seating. The ushers will direct you to your seat. The church/hall will be sanitized after each Mass with EPA approved disinfectants, but please be aware that anytime you are around others, there is always the risk of being exposed to Covid-19 or another contagion.

Please arrive 15 minutes (no sooner, please) before each Mass. We ask for a great deal of charity and patience during this time, as you might reserve for a Mass and not be able to sit.

Offertory gifts are encouraged to be made via online giving through our STJMOD App, Website or Paypal. If you are bringing a cash or check gift, please use the basket immediately inside the sanctuary or hall entrance. No offertory baskets will be passed during Mass.

Exceptions to mandatory face coverings:
• Persons age two years or under. These very young children must not wear
a face covering because of the risk of suffocation.
